Join us in honoring 200 years of Conway County history.
In 2025, as Conway County approached a once-in-a-lifetime milestone, community leaders, volunteers, and partners came together with a shared purpose: to honor the past, celebrate the present, and inspire the future. The Conway County Bicentennial Steering Committee was established to guide the planning and vision for commemorating the 200th anniversary of the founding of Conway County.
Rooted in pride of place and a deep respect for those who came before us, the committee was formed to ensure that the Bicentennial would be more than a single event - it would be a meaningful, community-wide celebration spanning history, heritage, education, and progress.
From early settlers and generations of families to today’s businesses, schools, churches, and civic institutions, the Bicentennial recognizes the people and stories that have shaped Conway County over two centuries.
Working collaboratively with local governments, organizations, schools, and citizens, the Steering Committee is dedicated to creating inclusive programs, events, and commemorations that reflect the county’s values and character. The Bicentennial is both a time of remembrance and an opportunity—to tell our story, strengthen community connections, and set the stage for the next 200 years.
Together, we celebrate where we’ve been, who we are, and where we are going—proudly honoring 200 years of Conway County history and heritage.

This celebration is a year-long effort to celebrate Conway County, her places and her people. Want to get involved? Click below, sign up and it's as simple as that!
